"Heads Up, Phones Down"

Ensuring the safety and well-being of students is of utmost importance to Miami Dade County Public Schools. To continue with our district’s commitment to student safety, a campaign to discourage the use of cellphone and earbuds/headphones during class transitions will be launched in all MDCPS K-8 centers, middle and high schools. This initiative, created in collaboration with the three regions, aims to mitigate the health implications and safety risks associated with the use of wireless communication devices. This campaign will be implemented over the first nine weeks of the 2024-2025 school year, employing various educational and awareness strategies to ensure a safer learning environment for all students.
